How to add services correctly

A well-described service helps the customer understand exactly what you offer, how the price is calculated and when to send you an order.

Setting the price

Fixed price

Use this when the price of the work is known in advance. For example: replacing one light bulb, furniture assembly or a specific small service.

Price by agreement

Use this when the cost depends on the scope of work, an on-site visit, materials or extra details.

The right unit of measure

State how the price is calculated; by the hour, per piece, per square metre, per room or another suitable unit.

How to describe a service

A service description should be short, specific and clear. The customer should understand from the start what's included in the service and what can be agreed additionally.

  • Write what type of work you do in this service.
  • State when the price is final and when it needs agreement.
  • If measurements, a photo or extra information are needed, state this in advance.
  • Avoid vague text; the customer should understand exactly what you offer.

What information to ask the customer for

When sending an order, help the customer provide the right details. This reduces misunderstandings and speeds up your reply.

  • Ask for a short description of the work.
  • Ask for photos if they're needed to assess the work.
  • Ask for measurements, quantity or area if the price depends on it.
  • Ask for the city, address or arrival time when needed.
